MEET MONA KIA

Curiosity has always been part of my life. They say curiosity killed the cat. For me, it did the opposite: it set me free.

I was born in Iran into a loving family who gave everything to raise me well. There I learned the importance of family and good friends, and how far they can take you. But even as a young girl, I knew that if I wanted to become myself, I had to leave home. So I moved to Toronto and started from zero, with a new language, a new culture, and no idea how to use my degree.

Canada taught me that curiosity and new experiences make life meaningful, even though they can sometimes be very difficult. Then came Vancouver. Beneath the beauty of the city, I felt lonely and deeply sad. As an empath, I was becoming more sensitive to the energy around me, and the pain was so heavy that I hid myself from the world. For almost two years, I felt stuck.

Until one day I remembered why I had come. Not to hide, but to find myself and discover what I was capable of. I came to live a life of abundance and joy.

That memory changed everything. I left my bank job and began the inner work of releasing mental and emotional blocks. Step by step, I came to know who I was and what I wanted to do.

These days, I like to say I’ve turned into a potato. Not glamorous, I know! But a potato is grounded, steady, and nourishing, and it grows quietly through the dark. Life still brings its challenges, but they no longer throw me into big ups and downs. I stay rooted, and now I help others do the same.

Life kept carrying me forward. In Dubai, I learned that your nationality can cause problems for you, no matter where you are. I also learned that if you don’t quit, you will always find yourself in beautiful places you never thought existed. Then came Turkey, where, surrounded by warm people who spoke a language I didn’t, I discovered something I’ll never forget: you don’t need to speak the same language to understand each other. Love is the universal language, and anything else is miscommunication.

Later, in the USA, I learned that your partner is your mirror and one of the biggest gifts you have, helping you know yourself better and clear your shadows.

Every step of this journey, even the hardest ones, led me here, to my mission: walking beside people who feel lost and helping them find their path. If you feel stuck in a new country or a new chapter of life, I know how lonely and disorienting starting over can feel. I would love to support you on your journey!
